At Fenwick & Merrick 1894, every candle is hand‑poured in small batches here in Alberta. We take pride in craftsmanship, quality, and consistency — and we want you to feel confident in every purchase.

Because our products are handcrafted and fragrance‑based, we maintain a clear and fair return policy to ensure both customer satisfaction and product integrity.

Returns

We accept returns on unused, unopened, and undamaged products within 14 days of delivery.

To qualify:

  • The candle must be in its original packaging

  • The wick must be unburned

  • The product must show no signs of use

  • Proof of purchase is required

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

Non‑Returnable Items

For safety and quality reasons, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Used or burned candles

  • Opened products

  • Sale or clearance items

  • Limited Edition or Collector’s Reserve releases (including The Gold Standard)

These items are final sale.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number

  • A brief description of the issue

  • Photos of the product and packaging

We’ll replace the item or issue a refund depending on availability.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you of approval or denial.

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Shipping fees are non‑refundable.

Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you’d like a different product, simply return the unused item (if eligible) and place a new order.

Candle Performance Issues

If you experience tunneling, wick issues, or performance concerns, reach out — many burn issues can be resolved with simple adjustments. We’re happy to help troubleshoot.
